Harvest Hike in Fittz Family Forest

Meet at Chestnut Hill Road, .5 miles west of Holtshire Road, Orange, MA

Join Chris Pryor, NEFF’s Director of Forest Stewardship, and Gary Gouldrup, Consulting Forester, for a walk through the 108-acre Fittz Family Forest, where a timber harvest is planned. Learn about managing woodlands to promote a diversity of tree species and age classes, and about the wildlife and songbirds that benefit from young forest habitat.
