Peru: Flora & fauna hike at wildlife sanctuary

Aimee Gelinas, naturalist and Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center director, will lead a fauna and flora hike from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Dorothy Rice Sanctuary.

Participants will learn how to identify plants, trees, wild edibles, and signs of wildlife on this 2-3 mile moderate trek.

This free hike is supported by the Peru/Hinsdale Cultural Council and the New England Forestry Foundation and co-sponsored by the Peru Public Library.

Donations will be accepted.
